| Application effect of clinical nursing pathway in very low birth weight infants |

Abstract Objective To investigate application effect of clinical nursing pathway in quality nursing service for very low birth weight infants(VLBW).Methods A total of 86 VLBW were selected in our hospital from October 2013 to October 2018,who were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,43 cases in each group.The control group received traditional nursing service,the observation group received quality nursing service including clinical nursing pathway.Basic data(body weight,head circumference,height)in two groups were recorded at the time of delivery and nursing 2 weeks.Nursing effect,family satisfaction,adverse events were compared between two groups.Results The body weight of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at 2 weeks of nursing,head circumference was longer than that of the control group,height was higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The daily milk intake and weight gain in observation group were more than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The hospitalization time in observation group was shorter than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Parents′cognition of neonatal nursing knowledge and parents′mastery of operational skills in observation group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in observation group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of clinical nursing pathway in quality nursing service can significantly improve nursing effect of VLBW,which is worthy of clinical application.
