| Nursing effect of traditional Chinese medicine on senile vertigo |

Abstract Objective To analyze the effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)nursing on vertigo in the elderly.Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with vertigo treated in our hospital from January 2016 to August 2017 were selected.According to the odd/even number,they were divided into control group (odd number)and observation group(even number),60 cases in each group.The control group was given regular nursing and the observation group was used TCM nursing,the occurrence rate of vertigo and quality of life in the two groups were compared.Results The incidence of vertigo in the observation group was 1.67%.There was no recurrence of vertigo during the follow-up of 6 months.The incidence of vertigo in the control group was 13.33%,and the recurrence rate of vertigo was 11.67%,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05）.The body condition score,psychological function score and social function score were all higher compared with those of the control group with statistical significance(P＜0.05）.Conclusion The elderly patients with vertigo can improve patients′condition through TCM nursing with pattern identification,reduce the frequency of vertigo,and ameliorate the quality of life with a remarkable nursing effect.
