Clinical effect of 5%Sodium Bicarbonate Injection combined with Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream and ultraviolet light and threedimensional microwave therapy treating otomycosis externa in the elderly |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Sodium Bicarbonate Injection combined with Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream and ultraviolet light and three-dimensional microwave therapy treating otomycosis externa in the elderly.Methods A total of 90 elderly patients with external ear canal mycosis admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to August 2018 were selected.The fungus and secretions on the external auditory canal and tympanic membrane were cleaned under rigid otoendoscopy.The patients were divided into the observation group and control group using the randomized digital table method,and there were 45 patients in each group.The observation groupo was given the comprehensive treatment:Mixed solution of Sodium Bicarbonate Injection combined with Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream was used for ear drops,Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream applied to the skin of the external ear canal,ultraviolet light and three-dimensional microwave.In the control group,patients were treated with Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream was applied to smear the corresponding site,3 times a day.The patients in both groups were reviewed every 3 days,and after 2 weeks of treatment,they were followed up for 3 months for efficacy analysis.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.78%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(62.22%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Following up for 3 months,the recurrence rate of the observation group was 4.55%,which was significantly lower than that of the control group (35.71%)(P<0.05).Conclusion 5%Sodium Bicarbonate Injection combined with Triamcinolone Acetonide and Econazole Cream and ultraviolet light and three-dimensional microwave therapy treating otomycosis externa in the elderly has the advantages of thorough clearance of lesions,high curative effect and low recurrence rate,and is worth popularizing.
