Abstract [Abstract]Objective To explore the correlation between erythrocyte distribution width and cardiocerebrovascular events in patients with hemodialysis. Methods A total of 300 hemodialysis patients treated in the Second People′s Hospital of Jingdezhen City from May 2015 to December 2016 were selected as the research objects, according to the distribution width of erythrocyte, they were divided into normal group(187 cases)and abnormal group(113 cases),the incidence of cardiocerebrovascular events was compared between the two groups.According to the cardiocerebrovascular events, the patients were divided into two groups:the onset group(107 cases)and the non-onset group(193 cases),the distribution width of erythrocyte was compared between the two groups.Multiple factor Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of cardiocerebrovascular events in hemodialysis patients. The correlation between erythrocyte distribution width and cardiocerebrovascular events in hemodialysis patients was analyzed. Results The incidence of cardiocerebrovascular events in abnormal group was higher than that in normal group(P<0.05).The dialysis age of the patients was longer than that of the non-patients(P<0.05).The distribution width of erythrocyte, high sensitivity C-reactive protein and ferritin in the patients were higher than those in the non-patients(P<0.05).Hemoglobin,albumin,serum creatinine, urea nitrogen, uric acid and N-terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursors were lower in the onset group patients than in the non-patients (P<0.05).Dialysis age, erythrocyte distribution width, hemoglobin, albumin, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen, uric acid,N-terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursor,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein and ferritin are all influencing factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in hemodialysis patients. The distribution width of erythrocyte was positively correlated with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in hemodialysis patients(r=0.439,P<0.05).Conclusion Erythrocyte distribution width is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in hemodialysis patients, and there is a significant positive correlation between them.
