| Application effect of family companionship nursing in cesarean section |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of family companionship nursing in cesarean section. Methods A total of 232 maternal women admitted to our hospital from June 2016 to June 2018 were enrolled. According to whether there were family members accompanying during cesarean section, they were divided into control group (n=116) and observation group (n=116). In the control group, there was no family accompanying, but regular nursing intervention was implemented. In the observation group, family companionship nursing was adopted. The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), the satisfaction on the medical staff in the operating room, and the incidence of adverse events in puerperal and neonate during perinatal period were compared. Results The postpartum SAS scores of the cesarean section women and their families were lower than those of the control group (P＜0.05). The total satisfaction on medical staff in the operating room staff was higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05). The total intraoperative discomfort rate and postpartum depression occurring in the observation group were lower compared with those in the control group (P＜0.05).The incidence of neonatal infection and total complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion The implementation of intraoperative family companionship care for women undergoing cesarean section can improve the anxiety of maternal and their families, reduce the incidence of postoperative discomfort and depression, and ensure maternal and child health.
