| Effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction in the treatment of cerebral atherosclerosis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction in the treatment of cerebral atherosclerosis.Methods Eighty patients with cerebral atherosclerosis admitted to our hospital from June 2015 to June 2017 were enrolled in the study. They were divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatments, with 40 cases in each group. In the control group, conventional therapy was used, while in the observation group, Buzhong Yiqi Decoction was added on the basis of the control group. The total effective rate of treatment, clinical symptom relief time and hemorheology indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 95.0%, which was significantly lower than that in the control group accounting for 77.5%, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). The hemiplegia relief time and relief time of dizziness and tinnitus in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜0.05). There were no significant differences in platelet adhesion rate, whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity between the two groups before treatment (P＞0.05).The platelet adhesion rate, whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity of the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The platelet adhesion rate, whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity in the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion The administration of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction in the treatment of patients with cerebral atherosclerosis can not only enhance the therapeutic effect, shorten the relief time of clinical symptoms, but also improve the hemorheology indexes, which is worthy of promotion and application.
