Influence of traditional Chinese medicine dietary therapy on blood phosphorus level and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis |

Abstract Objective To study the influence of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)diet therapy on blood phosphorus level and quality of life(QOL)in patients with hemodialysis.Methods A total of 100 patients with hemodialysis treated in our hospital from May 2017 to May 2018 were selected as the study subjects.All patients were divided into the two groups using the random number table methosd,with 50 cases in each group.In the control group,routine dietary care was used,while in the experimental group,TCM diet therapy was adopted.The blood phosphorus level,and score of QOL including physiological function,psychological function,social function and health status between the two groups were compared.Results The blood phosphorus level of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the scores of physiological function,psychological function,social function and health status of QOL in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of TCM diet therapy for patients with hemodialysis can effectively improve the blood phosphorus level of patients and improve their QOL.It has a high clinical application value and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
