Effect of Sodium Bicarbonate combined with Fluconazole in the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with oral Fungal infection |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of Sodium Bicarbonate combined with Fluconazole in the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with oral Fungal infection.Methods Eighty two patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with oral Fungal infections admitted to our hospital from January to December 2016 were selected as the research objects,they were divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment methods,with 41 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Fluconazole,while the observation group was treated with Sodium Bicarbonate on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,oral pH value,leukoplakia area and total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the oral pH value of the two groups was higher than that before treatment,and the area of white spot was smaller than that before treatment,the oral pH value of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the area of white spot was smaller than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group(2.44%)was lower than that in the control group(12.20%),but there was no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion Sodium Bicarbonate combined with Fluconazole in the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with oral Fungal infection has good clinical effect,which is superior to Fluconazole alone in the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with oral Fungal infection.It can alleviate the internal environment of oral Fungal infection and is worthy of clinical application.
