Application value of tumor radiosensitizer in radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma |

Abstract Objective To investigate the application value of tumor radiosensitizer in radiotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.MethodsA total of 90 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated in our hospital from June 2015 to June 2017 were selected as the subjects,and divided into two groups by random number table method.The control group was given conventional radiation therapy,and the observation group was given radiotherapy with radiosensitizer.The therapeutic efficacy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,the average survival time,the Kart score,the quality of life score before and after the intervention and the incidence of toxic side effects of radiation therapy were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average survival time in the observation group was longer than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference was not statistically significant in Kappa score and quality of life score between the two groups (P>0.05).After intervention,the Kart score and quality of life score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of toxic side effects of radiotherapy in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of radiosensitizers for radiotherapy in the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is effective.It can effectively improve the therapeutic effect,reduce toxic and side effects,prolong survival time,and improve the quality of life of patients.It is worthy of popularization and application.
