| Investigation study on risk factors of coronary heart disease in middle and old aged people in Yangjiang city |

Abstract Objective To understand the epidemiological features and relative risk factors of coronary heart disease (CHD)in elderly people over 50 years old in Yangjiang city,and to provide scientific theoretical basis on prevention and therapy of CHD.Methods 2000 residents(in the age more than 50 years,over 5 years of residence)from six communities of Yangjiang city from June 2015 to June 2016 were interviewed randomly,data on common CHD risk factors in the study subjects were collected by well-trained physicians.The risk factors of CHD were explored.Results A total of 2000 cases were investigated,276 CHD patients were found,morbidity rate was 13.8%.Ⅰn 1724 cases of the residents without coronary heart disease,869 cases were high-risk population of developing CHD(50.4%),542 cases were potential high risk population(31.4%),only 313 cases were healthy population(18.2%).Logistic multi-factor regression analysis indicated that there was significant difference in the correlated with age,high cholesterol,smoking,family history of CHD,hypertension,diabetes between the non CHD group and the CHD group(P＜0.01).Conclusion CHD is highly prevalent in Yangjiang city,and age,high cholesterol,smoking,family history of CHD,hypertension,diabetes are main risk factors in the elderly people in the region,prevention and modification of these risk factors should be urgently required.
