Clinical significance exploration of serum copeptin and NT-proBNP level changes in patients with acute cerebral infarction |

Abstract Objective To explore the changes of serum copeptin and NT-proBNP level in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI)and its clinical significance.Methods 93 cases of ACI in our hospital from January 2014 to June 2015 were selected and divided into the small area infarction group,the middle area infarction group and the large area infarction group according to infarct size,31 cases in each group.30 cases of healthy persons at the same period in our hospital were selected as the control group.The level of serum copeptin and N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP)among each group were detected and compared.Results The level of serum copeptin and NT-proBNP in the large area infarction group,the middle area infarction group and the small area infarction group was higher than that in the control group,with significant difference(P<0.01).The level of copeptin after the onset the first,seventh and fourteenth days in the small area infarction group was lower than that in the middle area infarction group and the large area infarction group,the level of copeptin after the onset the first and seventh days in the middle area infarction group was lower than that in the large area infarction group,with significant difference(P<0.01).The level of NT-proBNP after the onset the first and seventh days in the small area infarction group was lower than that in the middle area infarction group and the large area infarction group,the level of NT-proBNP after the onset the first,seventh and fourteenth days in the middle area infarction group was lower than that in the large area infarction group,with significant difference(P<0.01).The level of NT-proBNP after the onset the fourteenth days in the small area infarction group was lower than that in the large area infarction group,with significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusion The levels of serum copeptin and NT-proBNP are significantly increased in patients with ACI,and are related to the infarct size and time of onset.The larger the infarct size,the more serious the disease,the higher the level of the two group.With the extension of the course of treatment,the disease is reduced,serum copeptin and NT-proBNP levels in each group are decreased.
