Analysis of changes of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in patients with esophageal cancer before and after treatment |

Abstract ObjectiveTo explore the changes of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in patients with esophageal cancer before and after treatment.MethodsThe clinical data of 47 patients with esophageal cancer who were treated in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.Lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood of patients before and after treatment were detected.The levels of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in patients with different stages,lymph node metastasis and follow-up whether recurrence or metastasis were analyzed.ResultsThe level of CD3+,CD4+after treatment was higher than that before treatment,the level of CD8+,CD56+after treatment was lower than that before treatment,with significant difference(P<0.05).The levels of CD3+and CD4+of peripheral blood lymphocytes in stageⅠ andⅡ before treatment was higher than that in stageⅢ andⅣ,with significant difference (P<0.01).The levels of CD3+and CD4+of peripheral blood lymphocytes in stageⅠ andⅡ after treatment was higher than that in stageⅢ andⅣ,with significant difference (P<0.01).The level of CD56+of peripheral blood lymphocytes before treatment in the patients without lymph node metastasis was lower than that in the patients with lymph node metastasis,with significant difference (P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the level of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD56+,CD19+of peripheral blood lymphocytes after treatment between the patients without lymph node metastasis and lymph node metastasis(P>0.05).The level of CD4+in patients of no recurrence or metastasis before and after treatment was higher than that in patients of recurrence or metastasis,the level of CD8+,CD56+,CD19+in patients of no recurrence or metastasis before and after treatment was lower than that in patients of recurrence or metastasis,with significant difference (P<0.05).ConclusionPatients with esophageal cancer have obvious cellular immune suppression.Detection of lymphocyte subsets can be used to monitor the immune status of patients,and assess the patient′s condition and predict the recurrence and metastasis of esophageal cancer patients.
