| Effect of nursing intervention on pulmonary functions and treatment compliance for elderly patients with bronchial asthma |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of nursing intervention on pulmonary function and treatment compliance for elderly patients with bronchial asthma.Methods 60 cases of elderly patients with bronchial asthma who were treated in our hospital from February 2014 to November 2015 were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, 30 cases in each group.The control group was given with routine care,while,the treatment group was given with nursing intervention.The differences of lung functions,treatment compliance,1-year survival rate and nursing satisfaction degree between the two groups were compared.Results The post-treatment oxygen partial pressure,FEV1,FEV1/FVC in treatment group were higher than those of control group,with differences were significant(P＜0.01).The total compliance rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group,with difference was significant(P＜0.05).No significant difference was found between the 1-year survival rate of control group and treatment group(P＞0.05).The satisfaction rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group,with difference was significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention can improve lung functions,treatment compliance and the nursing satisfaction degree for elderly patients with bronchial asthma.
