| Efficacy of family continuation nursing on postoperative pressure ulcer and nursing satisfaction in elderly patients with brain glioma |

Abstract ObjectiveTo explore the efficacy of family continuation nursing on postoperative pressure ulcer and nursing satisfaction in elderly patients with brain glioma.Methods164 elderly patients with brain glioma after surgery from the Department of Neurosurgery in our hospital from December 2014 to November 2016 were selected and divided into the experiment group and the control group,with 82 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given conventional nursing,while patients in the experiment group were given family continuation nursing on the basis of the control group.The caregiver care behavior score,braden pressure ulcer risk factor score,the incidence of pressure ulcer and nursing satisfaction were conpared between two groups.ResultsAfter intervation,the scores of the turning behavior,skin care,nutritional support in two groups were all increased and were higher than those before intervention,and those in experiment group were higher than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.01).After intervation,the scores of indexes in Braden were all increased and were higher than those before intervention,and those in experiment group were higher than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.01). The incidence of pressure ulcer in experiment was lower than that in the experiment group and the nursing satisfaction in experiment was higher than that in the experiment group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).ConclusionThe family continuation nursing can effectively enhance care behavior of caregivers,reduce the risk factors and incidence of pressure ulcer and improve nursing satisfaction of eldly patients with brain glioma.
