Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of timed moxibustion at Sanyinjiao on medical students with pre exam tension syndrome.Methods A total of one hundred college students from five different majors,including Clinical Medicine School,School of Pharmacy,School of Medical Imaging,School of Medical Technology,and School of Nursing,who were diagnosed with pre-exam tension syndrome two weeks before the final exam at Jiangxi Medical College in January and June 2022 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into a control group (50 students)and an observation group (50 students)according to random number table method.The control group received routine care,while the observation group received timed moxibustion for Sanyinjiao care.A 7-day treatment course was used,and both groups were continuously intervened for 2 courses.The levels of exam anxiety,sleep quality,pulse rate,symptom scores,and nursing satisfaction between the two groups were compared.Results The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences(P＞0.05)in the scores of the Sarason test anxiety scale(TAS),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),pulse rate,and symptom scores between the two groups before intervention.After intervention,the TAS score,PSQI score,pulse rate,and symptom score of the observation group were lower than those before intervention,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).And so were the control group.After intervention,the TAS score,PSQI score,pulse rate,and symptom score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).The overall nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of timed moxibustion and Sanyinjiao nursing for medical students with pre-exam tension syndrome can improve exam anxiety levels,sleep quality,control pulse rate,alleviate clinical symptoms,and improve nursing satisfaction,which is worth promoting.
