Objective To understand the incidence of adolescent idiopathic-scoliosis (AIS)among Qingyuan City through screening.Methods A total of 665 333 adolescents in Qingyuan city from September 2021 to September 2022 were selected as the research subjects.AIS screening was performed by"three-check method"and"five-step screening method"in terms of gender,age,cobb angle,age distribution,and the survey results were statistically analyzed.Results A total of 3 122 cases of AIS were detected by the"five-step screening method",the detection rate was 0.5% (3 122/665 333),and the detection rate was 54.6%(1 704/3 122)for males and 45.4%(1 418/3 122)for females.There was no significant difference in detection rate between male and female (P＞0.05).A total of 1 824 cases of AIS were detected by the"three detection method",with an incidence rate of 0.3%(1 824/665 333),including 801 males with an incidence rate of 0.2%,and 1 023 female with an incidence of 0.3%.There was no significant difference in incidence between male and female (P＞0.05).AIS was concentrated in 10 to 18 years old,and the prevalence rate was highest in 14 to 16 years old,and the number of Cobb angles in 10° to 20° was the most.Conclusion By conducting adolescent scoliosis screening,it can effectively detect scoliosis early and improve the physical health level of adolescents.
