Abstract Objective To explore the clinical nursing effect of social network intervention on dependency level of stroke patients in recovery period. Methods A total of 80 stroke patients in recovery period admitted to the Guangzhou Haizhu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.According to random number table method, they were divided into control group(40 cases)and intervention group(40 cases).Traditional rehabilitation nursing mode was implemented in the control group, and social network intervention was implemented in the intervention group based on the control group. The care dependency scale (CDS)score,Lubben social network scale(LSNS)score, recurrence frequency, complication rate, length of hospital stay and cost were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in CDS score and Lubben score between the intervention group and the control group at admission (P>0.05).After 90 days of intervention, the CDS and Lubben scores of two groups were higher than those at admission, and the intervention group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications and the number of recurrent stroke in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group, the length of hospitalization was shorter than that in the control group, and the hospitalization cost was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The use of the Internet in rehabilitation nursing intervention for stroke convalescent patients can reduce the degree of dependence on others'care, reduce the recurrence rate and complication rate, and improve the quality of life of patients.
