Abstract Objective To analyze the influence of bedside ultrasound teaching on clinical comprehensive ability of residents in emergency department.Methods A total of sixty newly admitted residents in Baise People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into control group(n=30)and observation group(n=30)by random number table method.All new physicians who enter the ultrasound department are trained and guided by senior physicians for 2 weeks,8 hours per day.The control group followed their supervisor throughout the day for training in the consultation room.The observation group received training in the consultation room in the morning and followed their supervisor to participate in emergency bedside ultrasound examination in the afternoon.The results of theoretical assessment,operational skills assessment,clinical thinking ability score and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups of doctors after training.Results There were no significant differences in the theoretical examination scores between the two groups after training(P>0.05).The observation group had higher scores in the operational skill assessment,clinical thinking ability score,independent learning ability and teaching satisfaction than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Integrating emergency bedside ultrasound teaching into consultation room training can significantly improve resident physicians' operational skills,independent learning ability and clinical thinking,and is worth promoting.
