Objective To explore the effect of Shenqu Xiaoshi Oral Liquid combined with acupoint application and massage on children with functional constipation.Methods A total of 70 children with functional constipation who were treated in Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as research objects,and they were divided into control group and treatment group according to different treatment schemes,with 35 cases in each group.The control group were treated with acupoint application and massage,the treatment group were treated with traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application,massage and Shenqu Xiaoshi Oral Liquid.The recovery time of defecation and the total treatment time,adverse reactions,level of gastrointestinal hormones and inflammatory reaction related indicators before and after treatment,and the total effective rate of disease control were compared between the two groups.Results The recovery time and total treatment time for bowel movements in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the levels of serum motilin,vasoactive intestinal peptide and growth hormone between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the serum motilin of the two groups was higher than that before treatment,and the serum motilin of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,the levels of vasoactive intestinal peptide and growth hormone of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the levels of vasoactive intestinal peptide and growth hormone of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in interleukin-6 (IL-6),white blood cell(WBC)and C-reactive protein(CRP)between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of IL-6,WBC and CRP in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the levels of IL-6,WBC and CRP in treatment group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of acupoint application,massage and Shenqu Xiaoshi Oral Liquid can help improve the levels of gastrointestinal hormone and gastric function related indicators,control inflammatory reaction,shorten the time of disease control,reduce adverse drug reactions,and significantly improve the treatment effect of patients with functional constipation.
