Abstract Objective To explore the application value of inspection, palpation combined with ultrasound in the screening and management of lipohypertrophy (LH) with Insulin injection. Methods A total of 120 diabetic patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology of Jiangning Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from February to November 2021 who were undergoing Insulin therapy were selected as subjects, and the general information and information related to Insulin injection were collected.Screening for LH was performed using inspection, palpation, and ultrasound. Results Among the 120 patients,64 patients with LH were detected by inspection and palpation, and 98 positive sites were detected.Eighty-four patients with LH were detected by ultrasound, and 146 positive sites were detected.Ninety-two patients with positive LH were detected by inspection, palpation combined with ultrasound, among which 178 positive sites were detected. The positive detection rate of LH of inspection, palpation combined with ultrasound was 76.67% (92/120),which was higher than 53.33% (64/120) of inspection and palpation alone (P<0.05).Conclusion inspection, palpation combined with ultrasound detection can effectively improve the positive detection rate of Insulin Injection LH screening in diabetic patients and reduce missed diagnosis, which has important value for clinical precise intervention of LH.
