Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of evidence-based care in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR).Methods A total of 120 DR patients admitted to the First People′s Hospital of Fuzhou from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as research objects, they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, the observation group received routine nursing combined with evidence-based nursing, and the blood glucose levels and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and 2 months after nursing. Results After nursing, fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 h PG)and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)of two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the indexes in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing, all dimensions and total scores of the Chinese version of low vision quality of life(CLV-QOL)in two groups were higher than those before nursing, and the scores of observation group were higher than the those of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Evidencebased nursing intervention in DR patients can effectively regulate blood glucose levels and improve quality of life.
