Abstract Objective To study the effect of self-made tourniquet on hemostasis in puerpera with three or more cesarean sections. Methods A total of 60 parturient women with three or more cesarean sections admitted to the Department of Obstetrics,Shangrao Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January to December 2021 were selected as the research objects. The parturient women were divided into observation group and control group by random number method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with intrauterine injection of Oxytocin+Ergocloine after removal of the fetus by cesarean section, and the observation group was treated with self-made tourniquet on the basis of the control group. The intraoperative,2 h and 24 h postoperative blood loss, operation time, postoperative hospital stay, rate of fundal descent and duration of lochia were compared between the two groups. Results The blood loss during operation,2 h and 24 h after operation in the observation group was less than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The operation time and postoperative hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The fundus of the observation group decreased faster than that of the control group, and the duration of lochia was shorter than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The self-made tourniquet can be used to stop bleeding during cesarean sections of three or more times, which can effectively reduce the amounts of intraoperative and postpartum bleeding and speed up postpartum recovery.
