Application effect of dynamic ultrasound guided indwelling needle puncture on patients with difficult intravenous access in department of cardiovascular medicine |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of dynamic ultrasound guided indwelling needle puncture on patients with difficult intravenous access in department of cardiovascular medicine. Methods A total of 60 patients admitted to department of cardiovascular medicine of General Hospital of Pingxiang Mining Group Co., Ltd. between January and December 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group underwent traditional venous indwelling needle puncture while the observation group was given indwelling needle puncture under dynamic ultrasound guidance. The number of punctures, success rate of one-time puncture, puncture time of indwelling needle, indwelling time of indwelling needle and degree of pain at puncture site were observed in the two groups of patients, and the occurrence of adverse reactions after puncture in the two groups were recorded. Results The number of punctures in the observation group was less than that in the control group, the success rate of one-time puncture was higher while the score of visual analogue scale (VAS) was lower compared to the control group, and the puncture time of indwelling needle was shorter than that in the control group while the indwelling time of indwelling needle was longer than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group after surgery was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Indwelling needle puncture under dynamic ultrasound guidance can effectively enhance the puncture quality and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions after puncture.
