In recent years, the layout and structure of clinical disciplines in Tianjin have been continuously optimized,and the clinical professional level has been significantly improved. A number of domestic leading and world-class high-level disciplines have been formed, and a number of high-quality expert resources have been gathered, which has played an important role in ensuring the life and health of the people and effectively supported the prosperity and development of regional economy and society. Taking the construction of clinical special disease research center carried out by Tianjin Medical University as an example, starting from the necessity of deepening the development of clinical disciplines, this paper explores the construction ideas and strategic choices suitable for the development of clinical discipline of Tianjin Medical University by constructing SWOT matrix model, that is to actively serve the national strategy,meet the development needs of the industry, focus the discipline construction on optimizing the layout of discipline resources, open up the cooperation channel between universities and hospitals, encourage the main specialty of specialized diseases, form close cooperation with other supporting specialties with complementary advantages, promote the deep integration of basic medicine and clinical medicine, and promote the construction of ecological group of clinical specialized diseases, improve the reputation and overall competitiveness of the university system. All fields of discipline development are integrated and interconnected, so the research ideas and strategic design of this paper have vital reference significance.
