分化型甲状腺癌术后碘-131清除残余甲状腺组织安全性分析

Abstract

In recent years, the incidence of thyroid cancer has been increasing in China. Differentiated thyroid cancer(DTC) is a kind of thyroid cancer, among which postoperative DTC combined with 131 iodine (131I) treatment has become a routine treatment for patients with middle and high risk of recurrence. Normal thyroid cells have the ability of iodine uptake, can selectively ingests 131I from the blood into normal thyroid follicular cells, using the physical decay of 131I to produce β-ray radiobiological effects, remove normal residual thyroid tissue, to reduce the purpose of tumor recurrence and metastasis. Although the clinical value of 131I in removing residual thyroid tissue is widely recognized,the ionizing radiation from the physical decay of 131I may cause ionizing damage to patients and the public, and clinicians should be fully aware of the risks. At present, there are few studies on the safety of different doses of 131I for patients and the public, and the long-term effects of 131I on patients are still controversial. In this paper, the safety of 131I removal of residual thyroid tissue after DTC on hematopoietic system, reproductive system, secondary tumor and public radiation are briefly described.
