Abstract In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards, parturients have higher and higher requirements for painless delivery. With the rapid development of modern medicine, a variety of advanced labor analgesia methods and analgesic drugs continue to emerge. Among them, epidural labor analgesia is considered to be the most commonly used method of labor analgesia, which can effectively relieve labor pain. however, analgesia may cause prolonged labor, neonatal asphyxia and delivery complications including fever, postpartum hemorrhage, urinary retention and so on. Therefore, this paper reviews the research progress on the effect of epidural analgesia concentration, timing and adverse reactions on mothers and infants, in order to provide a reference basis for clinical discussion of delivery analgesia strategies.
