Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Modified Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with thoracoscopic TiNi memory alloy bone connector in the treatment of fractures of multiple ribs (FMR). Methods A total of 80 MRFs patients with thoracic trauma admitted to Meizhou Hospital of TCM from January 2020 to June 2021 were selected as subjects, and divided them into a control group and an observation group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group.In the control group, patients were treated with internal fixation with TiNi memory alloy bone fittings under thoracoscope.On the basis of the control group, the observation group was additionally provided with the Modified Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction.The therapeutic efficacy, postoperative thoracic drainage tube indwelling time, pain disappearance time, swelling disappearance time, hospital stay, fracture healing time, and blood gas before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effectiveness rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).The postoperative thoracic drainage tube indwelling time, pain disappearance time, swelling disappearance time, hospital stay, and fracture healing time of the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2), arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2) and oxygenation index (OI) in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group, the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in arterial blood (PaCO2) was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Modified Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with TiNi memory alloy bone connector treatment under thoracoscope can significantly improve the blood gas indexes in patients with FMR, improve the curative effect, and shorten the recovery time, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
