Application research of target management method in the construction of nurses′ core competence in operating room |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of goal management method in the construction of nurses′ core competence in operating room. Methods A total of 50 full-time nurses, rotating nurses and intern nurses in our operating room from June 2016 to December 2018 were selected as the research objects. The training and practice based on the target management method were concentrated on the implementation of the training for 3 months. The ability scale score before and after training, the nurses′ examination results (basic theory assessment and practical operation assessment score) were compared. Results After 3 months of training, nurses′ emergency and problem-solving abilities, specialist knowledge and operational skills, collaborative communication skills and interpersonal relationships, teaching and research abilities, laws and regulations and related professional knowledge, management abilities and their basic ability scores were higher than training before, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); after the training,the nurses′ examination results were higher than before the training, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The goal management method has a good effect in the construction of nurses' core competence in the operating room. It can significantly improve their core competence and the overall scores of the theory and practice of comprehensive exit examinations.
