Study on the correlation between the gene polymorphism of heme oxygenase-1 promoter and the coronary heart disease and the quality of life after stenting |

Abstract ObjectiveTo study the correlation between the gene polymorphism of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)promoter and the quality of life after stenting in the patients with coronary heart disease.Methods58 patients with coronary heart disease who were admitted to our hospital from August 2015 to August 2016 were clinically enrolled.They were assigned to the coronary heart disease group.All patients were given the intervention of stenting.Another 58 volunteers who were given physical examination in our hospital during the same period of time were selected as the control group.The distribution of HO-1 promoter gene polymorphism was observed in the two groups of subjects.The quality of life was observed in both groups,and the correlation between gene polymorphism of HO-1 promoter and the patients with coronary heart disease was analyzed.ResultsThere were significant differences in the distribution of SS,SL,LL genotypes and S,L alleles between the patients in the coronary heart disease group and the control group(P<0.05);while the distribution of long and short genotypes was not different(P>0.05).The scores of QOL and ADL in the coronary heart disease group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).SS,SL genotypes and S allele were significantly negatively correlated with the quality of life of patients with coronary heart disease(P<0.05);LL genotype and L allele were positively correlated with the quality of life of patients with coronary heart disease(P<0.05).ConclusionThe quality of life of patients with coronary heart disease after stenting is closely correlated to the HO-1 promoter gene polymorphism.Patients carrying with SS,SL genotypes and S allele generally have a better quality of life,while the patients carrying with LL genotype and L allele have a poorer quality of life.
