Value analysis of ultrasound BI-RADS classification in identifying the nature of breast mass |

Abstract Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound breast imaging-reporting and data system (BI-RADS) classification in differential diagnosis of breast mass.Methods The clinical data of 628 patients with breast mass who admitted to the First People′s Hospital of Jingdezhen City from June 2015 to June 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.The ultrasound examination was performed,and the lesions of patients were classified according to ultrasound BIRADS criteria.A total 100 patients with BI-RADS grade 3 and above were selected as the research objects,and the pathological diagnosis results were used as the gold standard.The benign and malignant proportions of 100 patients were recorded,and the diagnosis value of ultrasound BI-RADS in the patients with BI-RADS grade 3 and above and misdiagnosis of ultrasound BI-RADS was analyzed.The ultrasound image features of benign and malignant masses were compared..Results The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of patients with ultrasound BI-RADSgrade 4 were 100.00%,0.00%,100.00%.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of patients with ultrasound BI-RADS grade 4 were 100.00%,72.00%,76.67%.Among 100 lesions,the lesions diagnosed as benign by ultrasound and malignant by pathology were intraductal papilloma,adenopathy,and fibroadenoma.The proportion of low internal echo,abundant blood supply and axillary lymph node enlargement of malignant masses were higher than those of benign masses,the proportion of regular morphology,clear border and complete tissue of malignant masses were lower than those of benign masses,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound BI-RADS classification has good differential diagnosis value for breast masses.The benign and malignant masses have large differences in ultrasound performance,it can provide effective guidance for the development of treatment plans and reduce misdiagnosis,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
