Analysis of 25 hydroxyvitamin D level and its related factors in patients with maintenance peritoneal dialysis |

Abstract Objective To explore the serum levels of 25-vitamin D[25(OH)D]and its related factors in patients with maintenance peritoneal dialysis.Methods A total of 69 patients with maintenance peritoneal dialysis managed by peritoneal dialysis clinic of Mindong Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical Universitywere selected from April to June in 2019.Collect the patient′s gender,age,primary disease,serum 25(OH)D hemoglobin (HGB),albumin (ALB),triglyceride (TG),total cholesterol (TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),Apolipoprotein A1 (Apo A1),apolipoprotein B (Apo B),serum creatinine (Cr),blood urea (BUN),blood calcium (Ca),blood phosphorus (P),whole parathyroid hormone (iPTH) And other clinical data for retrospective analysis and relevant factor analysis..Results The serum 25(OH)D level of 69 patients was (11.90±4.34)ng/mL,serum 25(OH)D<15 ng/mL were the standard of vitamin D deficiency,they were divided into two groups,of which 55 cases (79.7%) in vitamin D deficiency group,serum 25(OH)D level was (10.2±2.7)ng/mL; in the non-deficiency group,14 patients (20.3%) had a blood 25 (OH)D level of (18.7±2.6) ng/mL.The proportion of women in vitamin D deficiency group,TC level,Apo B level were higher than those in the non-deficiency group,ALB level was lower than those in the non-deficiency group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); there were no significant difference in age,HGB,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,Apo A1,Cr,BUN,Ca,P,iPTH and other indicators between the two groups (P>0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that ALB level(β=0.493,P=0.002) and gender (β=-2.989,P=0.004) were independent influencing factors of 25(OH)D level.Conclusion The level of 25(OH)D in patients with maintenance peritoneal dialysis is obviously insufficient,most of them are in the lack of level,and the vitamin D deficiency is more serious in patients with hypoalbuminemia.It is suggested that improving malnutrition in patients with peritoneal dialysis may reduce the status of vitamin D deficiency.
