Analysis of the clinical value of transvaginal color ultrasound in monitoring follicular growth and guiding the treatment of infertility

Abstract Objective To explore the clinical value of transvaginal color ultrasound in monitoring follicular growth and guiding the treatment of infertility.Methods A total of 100 patients with infertility treated in Jiujiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital,Jiangxi Province from January to December 2019 were selected and divided into control group(n=50) and study group (n=50) according to random number table method.The control group was examined by traditional ovulation test paper and transabdominal ultrasound,and the study group was examined by transvaginal color ultrasound.The diameter of preovulatory follicles,the growth rate of follicles,the thickness of endometrium one day before ovulation,the rate of follicular development and maturity,the rate of pregnancy,the thickness of endometrium,the resistance index of blood flow spectrum (RI) and the peak velocity ratio of diastolic blood pressure of umbilical artery were compared between the two groups.Results There were no significant differences in follicular diameter,follicular growth rate and endometrial thickness one day before ovulation between the two groups (P＞0.05).The follicular development and maturity rate of the study group was 64.00%,higher than that of the control group of 38.00%,and the pregnancy rate 48.00%,which was higher than that of the control group (22.00%),the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The thickness of endometrium in patients with ovulation induction cycle was larger than that in natural cycle,and RI and spicer D were better than those in natural cycle,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The development of follicles is closely related to conception.Transvaginal color ultrasound can observe the development of follicles noninvasively,intuitively and repeatedly,which is helpful to shorten the observation distance with ovaries and other uterine appendages,and avoid the interference of many external factors,in order to provide more accurate imaging information.Transvaginal color ultrasound is of significant clinical value and is worth further popularizing.
