| Effect of Tongjing Huoluo Jianpi Recipe combined with Pioglitazone Hydrochloride on blood glucose and blood lipid in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with hyperlipidemia |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Tongjing Huoluo Jianpi Recipe combined with Pioglitazone Hydrochloride on blood glucose and blood lipid in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with hyperlipidemia.Methods A total of 60 T2DM patients with hyperlipidemia who were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi Medical College from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected as subjects,and divided into two groups according to random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.All patients were given basic treatment,control group orally took Pioglitazone Hydrochloride,and treatment group was treated with Tongjing Huoluo Jianpi Recipe based on control group.Both groups were treated for 3 months.The clinical efficacy,blood glucose (fasting blood glucose [FPG],2 h postprandial blood glucose [2 h PG],glycated hemoglobin [HbA1c]),blood lipids (triacylglycerol [TG],serum total cholesterol [TC],low density lipoprotein cholesterol [LDL-C]and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol [HDL-C]),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels and the total incidence of adverse reactions before and after treatment between the two groups were observed.Results The total effective rate of patients in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).After 3 months of treatment,FPG,2 h PG and HbA1c levels in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and FPG,2 h PG and HbA1c levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).After 3 months of treatment,TG,TC,LDL-C and hs-CRP levels in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,HDL-C levels was higher than that before treatment,the TG,TC,LDL-C and hs-CRP levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and HDL-C level was higher than that in the control group,with statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Tongjing Huoluo Jianpi Recipe combined with Pioglitazone Hydrochloride in treatment of T2DM patients with hyperlipidemia can effectively regulate the levels of blood glucose and blood lipid,decrease the level of hs-CRP,and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions,which has better curative effects and safety.
