Objective To explore the application effect of comfort nursing in inpatients in gastroenterology department.Methods A total of 82 inpatients in the Department of Gastroenterology of the Second People's Hospital of Yichun City from January to September 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. They were divided into observation group (41 cases) and control group (41 cases) according to different nursing methods. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received comfort nursing on the basis of the control group. The quality of sleep, quality of life and comfort were compared between the two groups. Results The sleep quality score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of psychology, society,environment and physiology in QOL in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significances (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of physiology, psychology, spirit, social culture and environment in general comfort questionnaire (GCQ) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significances (P<0.05). Conclusion Comfort nursing has a good application effect in inpatients in gastroenterology department, which is conducive to improving comfort, sleep quality and quality of life.
