Abstract  Objective To observe the mental health status of patients with severe acute pancreatitis after treatment and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 86 patients with severe acute pancreatitis admitted to Heilongjiang Provincial Hospital from July 2020 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. After 1 month of treatment, use the hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) to assess the patients′ mental health, record the patients′ general information, and record the data needed for the research, including possible influencing factors, logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of mental health of patients with severe acute pancreatitis after treatment. Results After 1 month of treatment, 38 patients with severe acute pancreatitis had poor central management, accounting for 44.19%. There were significant differences in education level, presence or absence of complications, social support rating scale (SSRS) score, and adaptation, partnership, growth, affection and resolve (APGAR) score between the mental illness group and the mentally well group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The other general information between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The logistic regression analysis showed that the education level of junior high school and below, had concurrent symptoms were risk factors for patients with severe acute pancreatitis after treatment (β>0, OR>1, P<0.05). SSRS score and APGAR score were protective factors for patients with severe acute pancreatitis after treatment (β<0, OR<1, P<0.05). Conclusion The psychological problems of patients with severe acute pancreatitis after treatment may be related to factors such as junior high school and below education level, complications, low SSRS score, and low APGAR score.
