| Application effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in oral treatment of diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in oral treatment of diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis. Methods A total of 100 patients with diabetes with chronic periodontitis treated in our hospital from May 2018 to May 2019 were selected as the subjects of the study, and divided into the control group (n=50) and study group (n=50) by the random drawing method. The control group adopts routine nursing, and the study group adopts comprehensive nursing intervention measures. The dental plaque index, bleeding index and psychological status score of the two groups before and after nursing were compared, the clinical nursing compliance of the two groups was compared, and the clinical nursing satisfaction of the two groups was compared. Results There was no significant difference in dental plaque index between the two groups (P＞0.05); the dental plaque index of the two groups after nursing was lower than that before nursing, the dental plaque index of the study group was lower than that of the control group after nursing, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). There was no significant difference in bleeding index between the two groups before nursing (P＞0.05); the bleeding index of two groups after nursing was lower than that before nursing, the bleeding index of the study group after nursing was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). There was no significant difference in the scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) between the two groups before nursing (P＞0.05);the SAS and SDS scores of the two groups after nursing were lower than those before nursing, the SAS and SDS scores of the study group after nursing were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05). The clinical nursing total compliance rate after nursing in the study group was higher than that of the control group, the clinical nursing total satisfaction of the patients in the study group after nursing was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion It is effective to carry out comprehensive nursing intervention in the oral treatment of patients with diabetes and chronic periodontitis.
