Application of rectal myoelectricity biofeedback system combined with rectal function training in neurogenic rectum |

Abstract Objective To explore the application value of rectal myoelectricity biofeedback system combined with rectal function training in neurogenic rectum.Methods A total of 60 patients with neurogenic rectum admitted to Jiujiang First People′s Hospital from June 2020 to October 2021 were selected as the research objects.According to random number table method,they were divided into observation group (n=30) and control group (n=30).The control group was given traditional rectal function training,while observation group was intervened with rectal myoelectricity biofeedback system on basis of control group.The classifications of stool symptoms after intervention,the score of neurogenic bowel dysfunction (NBD) and Barthel score before and 1 month after intervention,and the score of nursing satisfaction after intervention were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention,classifications of stool symptoms in observation group were better than those in control group,and type Ⅳstool was more than that in control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After intervention,NBD of the two groups was lower than before intervention,and Barthel score was higher than before intervention and NBD score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and Barthel score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of patients satisfaction with nursing staffs′ nursing quality (theoretical knowledge level,nursing work attitude,safety management of nursing staffs,nursing error behaviors,writing quality of nursing document) in observation group were higher than those in control group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).Conclusion Rectal myoelectricity biofeedback system combined with rectal function training can better recover defecation function and improve prognosis of patients with neurogenic rectum.
