Abstract  Objective To analyze the level of thyroglobulin in lymph node metastasis in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer. Methods A total of 80 patients with differentiated thyroid cancer admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Xiangya Medical College from December 2012 to January 2018 were retrospectively selected as the research objects. The patients were followed up for one year according to whether the patients had lymph node metastasis and the patients were divided into observation groups (12 cases, with lymph node metastasis) and the control group (68 cases, without lymph node metastasis). The levels of serum triglycerides (Tg), thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb) and thyroidstimulating hormone (TSH) were compared between the two groups. Results Followed up half a year or one year later, the Tg level in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The Tg (+) TgAb(-) rate, Tg (-) TgAb (+) rate, Tg (+) TgAb (+) rate, Tg (+) or TgAb (+) rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The normal rate of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), Tg (-) TgAb (-) rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Tg is a better follow-up indicator for differentiated thyroid cancer. When monitoring serum Tg levels for a long time, it is not necessary to stop endocrine therapy routinely, but it is necessary to detect the serum anti-Tg level of patients at the same time.
