Effect of core muscle elasticity with resistance training combined with respiratory training instrument on exercise endurance and ventilation function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of core muscle elastic band resistance training combined with respiratory training instrument in improving exercise endurance and ventilation function of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods A total of 80 COPD patients admitted to Jiujiang Third People′s Hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects,they were divided into the control group and the study group using the random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was given core muscle elasticity with resistance training,the research group was treated with respiratory training instrument on the basis of the control group.The lung function,exercise endurance,sleep quality,adverse reactions,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test (CAT) score and Borg score were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,there were no significant differences in forced expiratory volume at the first second (FEV1),percentage of forced expiratory volume at the first second (FEV1/FVC),residual air volume (RV) and maximum volume per minute(MVV) between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,FEV1,FEV1%,FEV1/FVC and MVV in the two groups were higher than before treatment,RV was lower than before treatment,and FEV1,FEV1%,FEV1/FVC and MVV in study group were higher than those in control group,RV was lower than that in control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in the maximum exercise time (Tmax) calculated by timing method,the maximum exercise power (Wmax) measured by heart rate reserve method,and the 6 min walking test (6MWT) measured by metaslimatic method (P>0.05).After treatment,Tmax,Wmax and 6MWT in both groups were higher than before treatment,and Tmax,Wmax and 6MWT in the study group were higher than those in the control group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).The sleep quality grade of the study group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant difference in CAT score and Borg score between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,CAT and Borg scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion Core muscle elastic band resistance training combined with Respiratory training instrument has a definite effect in the treatment of COPD patients.It can not only improve lung function,improve patient exercise endurance and ventilation function,but also has fewer adverse reactions and high safety.It is worthy of clinical application.
