| One case of acute traumatic synovitis treated by Chengjiang school acupuncture |

Abstract Acute traumatic synovitis of knee joint is caused by acute joint trauma, which leads to knee pain, swelling and limited activity. It is a common disease in clinical acupuncture treatment. However, modern medical therapy is limited in the treatment of the disease, and surgical therapy for patients with severe illness has long recovery time and many complications, which is not conducive to the rehabilitation of the disease. Traditional acupuncture treatment for acute knee disease curative effect, with "simple, convenient, inexpensive, effective" characteristics. The acupuncture method of Chengjiang School is based on the theoretical system of traditional medicine and modern anatomical structure of human body. It combines the traditional hexagram orientation and structure of muscle ligament of knee joint. On the basis of accurate positioning of diseased muscle ligaments, it can achieve better curative effect by traditional acupuncture reinforcing and reducing manipulation, combined with electro-acupuncture and the specific electromagnetic spectrum. This paper reports one case of acute traumatic synovitis treated by acupuncture and moxibustion in Chengjiang School. The treatment method can be used for reference in clinical practice.
