| Effect of Shengxuebao Mixture on the improvement of bone marrow suppression and quality of life after chemotherapy for leukemia |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of Shengxuebao Mixture on the improvement of bone marrow suppression and quality of life after chemotherapy for leukemia.Methods A total of 80 patients with leukemia who were admitted to our hospital from October 2018 and October 2019 were selected as the subjects.They were divided into the observation group and the control group by the random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional chemotherapy regimen,the observation group was additionally treated with Shengxuebao Mixture on the basis of the control group.The situation of bone marrow suppression,quality of life and blood test result were compared between the two groups.Results The degree of bone marrow suppression in the observation group was lighter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the Karnofsky (KPS) score between the two groups (P＞0.05).After treatment,the KPS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The KPS score of the observation group after treatment was higher than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The KPS score of patients in the control group was higher than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the levels of hemoglobin,white blood cells and platelets between the two groups (P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of hemoglobin,white blood cells,and platelets of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The levels of hemoglobin,white blood cells,and platelets of the observation group after treatment were lower than those before treatment,with statistical significances (P＜0.05).The levels of hemoglobin,white blood cells and platelets in the control group after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of Shengxuebao Mixture can effectively improve the bone marrow suppression and quality of life of patients with leukemia after chemotherapy.
