Objective To observe the application effect of ball grip exercise combined with Kanghuier transparent paste in the prevention of complications of lung cancer patients undergoing peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC)chemotherapy. Methods From December 2019 to January 2021, 96 patients with lung cancer undergoing PICC intubation chemotherapy from the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Jiujiang First People′s Hospital were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group and the study group by random number table method,woth 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with 50% magnesium sulfate warm compress, and the study group was treated with hydrocolloid dressing Kanghuier transparent paste combined with ball grip training intervention.The maximum blood flow rate (Vmax) and mean blood flow rate per unit time (TMFV) of axillary vein side of limbs were compared before and 1, 2 and 3 months after catheterization between the two groups. Results The incidence of phlebitis and venous thrombosis in the study group were lower than those in the control group after intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of bleeding and catheter ectopic between the two groups (P>0.05). There were no significant differences in Vmax and TMFV levels before catheterization between the two groups (P>0.05). Vmax and TMFV levels in 1, 2 and 3 months after catheterization were lower than those before catheterization, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The Vmax and TMFV levels of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group at 1, 2 and 3 months after catheterization, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were statistically significant differences in groups and interactions (P<0.05). Conclusion Holding the ball and Kanghuier transparent paste can effectively reduce the occurrence of complications in patients with lung cancer patients undergoing PICC intubation chemotherapy, and it is worthy of clinical application.
