Abstract Objective To study the application effect of early intervention nursing in open bowel placement after neonatal enterostomy. Methods A prospective study was conducted on 60 children undergoing neonatal enterostomy in Maoming Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2019 to January 2021, and they were divided into reference group (n=30) and observation group (n=30) according to random number table method. The children in the reference group received routine nursing after surgery, and the children in the observation group received early intervention nursing after surgery. The anal defecation time, time of starting feeding, adequate feeding time, intravenous nutrition duration, family satisfaction, postoperative growth and development and sleep time were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The time of anal defecation, the time of starting feeding, the time of adequate feeding and the duration of intravenous nutrition in the observation group were shorter than those in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The family satisfaction of the observation group was 93.33%, higher than that of the reference group (73.33%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The postoperative weight, body length and head circumference of the observation group were higher than those of the reference group, and the sleep time was longer than that of the reference group, with statistical significances (P<0.05). Conclusion After neonatal enterostomy, children receive early intervention care for open bowel placement after stomostomy, which can effectively shorten the recovery time after stomostomy reduction, improve their family members′ satisfaction with nursing work, and promote the growth and development of children, which is worthy of popularization and application.
