Therapeutic effect of central venous catheter closed thoracic drainage in the treatment of septal tuberculous pleurisy |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of central venous catheter closed thoracic drainage in the treatment of septal tuberculous pleurisy.Methods A total of 60 patients with septal tuberculous pleurisy admitted to our hospital from January to June 2019 were selected as the reaseach subjects.They were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the order of admission,with 30 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with conventional anti-tuberculosis regimen.On this basis,the control group was treated with thoracentesis and the treatment group was treated with central venous catheter closed thoracic drainage.The clinical efficacy,disappearance time of effusion,length of hospital stay,incidence of adverse reactions and pleural thickening rate were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group (93.33%) was higher than that of the control group (73.33%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The disappearance time of effusion and length of hospital stay of the treatment group ([8.16±2.21]d,[9.33±2.34]d) were shorter than those of the control group([11.43±2.60]d,[13.28±2.85]d),and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).During the treatment,the incidence of adverse reactions and pleural thickening rate in the treatment group (6.67%,6.67%) were lower than those in the control group (26.67%,30.00%),and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Central venous catheter closed thoracic drainage is effective in the treatment of septal tuberculous pleurisy with fewer adverse reactions,can promote the disappearance time of effusion,prevent pleural thickening,and shorten the length hospital stay.
