The effect of Compound Glutamine Enteric-coated Capsules in adjuvant treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis and its influence on the rehabilitation of patients′ gastrointestinal function

Abstract Objective To study the clinical effect of Compound Glutamine Enteric-Coated Capsules on patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) and the rehabilitation effect on gastrointestinal function.Methods Ninety-two UC patients in the Department of Gastroenterology of Jiangmen Central Hospital from March 2018 to March 2021 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into an experimental group (n=46) and a control group (n=46) by the random number table method.Patients in the experimental group were treated with Mesalamine+Compound glutamine entericcoated capsules,and patients in the control group were treated with Mesalamine.The treatment effect and the incidence of adverse reactions,the intestinal barrier function and gastrointestinal function rehabilitation indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group (95.65%) was higher than that in the control group (82.61%),and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of diamine oxidase,D-lactic acid and bacterial endotoxin in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The colonoscopy score and modified Mayo score (Mayo) in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,and the gastrointestinal quality of life index (GIQLI) was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Compound Glutamine Enteric-Coated Capsules combined with Mesalazine in the treatment of ulcerative colitis can effectively improve the therapeutic effect of patients without good safety.It has a good effect on improving the intestinal barrier function of patients with ulcerative colitis,inhibiting the progress of intestinal mucosa,reducing the disease-related impact of patients,and optimizing the quality of life related to gastrointestinal system.It has a positive value in promoting the rehabilitation of gastrointestinal function in patients with ulcerative colitis.
