| Application value of humanized nursing in the elderly patients with glaucoma |

Abstract Objective To explore the application value of humanized nursing in elderly glaucoma patients.Methods Eighty elderly patients with glaucoma (≥60 years old)who were admitted to the department of ophthalmology of our hospital from February 2018 to February 2019 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into control group (40 cases)and observation group (40 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group carried out traditional nursing,and the observation group implemented humanized nursing intervention on this basis.The total incidence of postoperative complications,quality of life score and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group (5.00%)was lower than that in the control group(20.00%),with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).The scores of physical function,mental health,emotional status,social function,health status and other quality of life in the observation group were all higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The total nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group(92.50%)was higher than that of the control group(75.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion For elderly glaucoma patients,humanized nursing intervention can reduce complications,improve quality of life,improve nursing satisfaction,and have outstanding clinical application value.
