Objective To explore the application effect of high quality nursing intervention in the elderly patients with lung cancer undergoing single hole thoracoscopy. Methods From May 2018 to May 2019, 100 elderly patients with lung cancer undergoing single hole thoracoscopic radical surgery in our hospital were selected as the study objects. They were divided into control group (n=50) and study group (n=50) by drawing lots at random. The patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing methods and the patients in the study group were treated with quality nursing intervention. Results The amount of intraoperative bleeding and postoperative drainage in the study group were less than those in the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). The retention time of drainage tube in the study group was shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). The C-reactive protein (CRP) and scores of visual analogue scale (VAS) in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The total satisfaction of nursing in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion It is of great value to carry out high-quality nursing interventions in combination with the disease characteristics of elderly patients undergoing single hole thoracoscopic lung cancer radical operation.
