Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of self-management intervention in patients with permanent pacemaker implantation. Methods From July 2018 to June 2019, a total of 60 patients with permanent pacemaker implantation in our hospital were randomly assigned according to the sequence of admission time. The single number was defined as the experimental group(30 cases) and the double number as the control group (30 cases). Routine nursing and discharge guidance were carried out in the control group, and self-management intervention was added in the experimental group on the basis of the control group. The total satisfaction, the quality of life instrument for patients with pacemaker (QLIPPV1.0) score before and after the intervention, and the occurrence of adverse events of the patients in the two groups with the perioperative intervention mode were compared. Results The total satisfaction degree of patients in the experimental group was 96.7%, higher than 80.0% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the score of QLIPPV1.0 in experimental group after the intervention was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the incidence of adverse events was only lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Self-management intervention can help patients implanted with permanent artificial cardiac pacemakers improve their self-management ability, improve their life and quality of life after discharge, reduce the occurrence of adverse events related to pacemaker implantation, and make patients satisfied with the intervention model significantly improved.
