Application effect of WeChat continuous care on patients with ovarian cancer after chemotherapy |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of WeChat continuous care on patients with ovarian cancer after chemotherapy. Methods A total of 50 patients with ovarian cancer admitted to jiujiang Third People′s Hospital from July 2015 to June 2017 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into control group (25 cases) and observation group (25 cases) by random number table method. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received WeChat continuous nursing for 4 weeks. The chemotherapy compliance, self-care ability,quality of life and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The chemotherapy compliance of observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of exercise of self-care agency scale (ESCA) and the MOS item short from health survey (SF-36)were higher than those before intervention, ESCA and SF-36 scores in observation group were higher than those in control group after intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction scores of health guidance, operation techniques, follow-up methods and service attitude in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion WeChat continuous nursing can improve the chemotherapy compliance and self-care ability of ovarian cancer patients, improve the quality of life, and improve the nursing satisfaction.
