Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of magnetic wave knife combined with Levonorgestrel Intrauterine Birth Control System on carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125)and menstruation in patients with adenomyosis. Methods A total of 84 patients with adenomyosis admitted to Foshan Hospital Affiliated to Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to March 2021 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Levonorgestrel Intrauterine Birth Control System in uterine cavity, and the observation group was treated with Levonorgestrel Intrauterine Birth Control system after magnetic wave knife treatment. CA125, anti-endometrial antibody(EMAb) and menstruation were compared between the two groups before and 3 months after treatment. Results There was no significant difference in CA125 and EMAb levels between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). CA125 and EMAb levels in two groups after treatment were lower than before, and the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in menstrual volume, menstrual days and pain scores between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). The observation group after treatment menstrual volume was less than that of the control group, menstrual days shorter than the control group, pain score was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment effect of magnetic wave knife combined with Levonorgestrel Intrauterine Birth Control System in patients with adenomyosis is accurate, which is conducive to reducing the levels of CA125 and EMAb, reducing menstrual volume, shortening menstrual time and reducing menstrual pain. It is worthy of wide clinical application.
